With over 20 years experience in the australian gas industry, Fire by Design Australia is the go to provider for a wide variety of gas services in the Canberra region. Specialising in decorative gas fireplace construction, we changed our focus to custom made decorative gas appliances in 2013. At that time we were approached by one of Canberra's prominent developers to bring a sketch to life that would be the centerpiece feature in the near complete Monster kitchen & bar dining room inside the reknown Nishi Building in Acton, Canberra. That project went on to become the international project of the Year winner in 2014.

Since then we have delivered a number of custom made, one off fires to compliment the outcome of some very special building projects undertaken by the ACT's leading development and construction companies.

Our most popular brief for custom fires brought to us to be manufactured is our 360° open round fireplace that until now could only be achieved with a wood burning fire.
This is a configuration that is not available from any manufacturer on the market and adds a wow factor that cannot be achieved with a store bought unit.

Based in the nation's capital, we have now made our services available nation wide so that designers and architects alike are no longer bound by the aesthetic limitations of store bought decorative fires that have seen some projects go without a feature fire all together simply because nothing was commercially available that matched the design brief.

Whether you have a rough sketch of your fire or have detailed plans, we can bring your vision to reality and deliver a working, certifiable feature to your commercial or domestic project.

We can offer you a complete service including fabrication, engineering, installation and certification or deliver you a product for you to have your own contractors carry out the installation and certification.
We are available to liaise with your contractors during the installation phase and will deliver a product that is made to suit your unique project.
